Ma Miss,
You have been an inspiration to me even before I really knew your story. Knowing how hard you worked to become more than what the world told you to be. My favourite memory of you is when you would tell me bed time stories in Wosing, and you would sing the songs in the story. The stories would always have a heroine who goes through trials and tribulations but would always have a happy ending and would always have a strong morale. I remember when I had Kati-Kati for the first time, made by your hands! And I remember you would always tell me I was named after your mother, Nahvoma.
The last conversation I had with you, you told me to always look out for my siblings. That we should stick together no matter what happens, and even if we argue or fight, we must come back together. And to always put God first. I will never forget this.
One day, I will join you again. To hear your stories, sing songs, and be at peace with you and with Daddy. Until then, please watch over me as you watched over me in life.
It’s sad to have to say goodbye but I believe that God makes no mistakes.
Rest in Peace. Your “mother”.
